Our mission

How we started, and why we are donating

      Hi! My name is Tia and welcome to Cookies for a Cause!! This all started on my 8th birthday, when my mom gave cookies in a jar as return gifts. Ever since then, we have been giving these as gifts or party favors. Fast forward 8 years to my 16th birthday drive-by celebration: my friends loved this idea and said I should sell them. 

     I decided to create this fundraiser because it shows my love for baking, and I am doing it for a good cause. I chose to donate to Children's Medical Center Foundation, the 8th largest Pediatric Healthcare Provider in the nation, because I am interested in medicine and hope to work in the pediatrics field one day. I believe their research is extremely important and can change our community for the better. They are a nonprofit and donations go towards enhancing comprehensive care, advancing medical research, and overall improving health and wellness across North Texas.
